Hello! 你好！My name is Jewel Chen, and I would like to be your Chinese Teacher.
I am from Taiwan and I live in the United States. You might know that in Mainland China they use Simplified Chinese for writing, and in Taiwan and overseas we often use Traditional Chinese. We can work with either system you prefer for reading and writing, and at the same time we will make sure your speaking and listening will take you wherever you want to go!

I used to study philosophy, and I enjoy engaging my students in interesting questions that are suitable for their level. In Taiwan I taught Mandarin Chinese to physicists, doctors, and professors. In the States I have been teaching government officials, students, and businesspeople. I have about 3,000 hours of experience teaching Chinese individually or in groups.
